In order to preserve jewelry for a long time, especially precious metals, gemstones and freshwater cultured pearls, they need careful care.

Protect your jewelry

We recommend that customers take off their jewelry before going to bed or exercising, and remember that jewelry should not be exposed to chlorine or salt water to avoid dulling the surface. Please try to avoid contact of freshwater cultured pearls with water and detergents. Freshwater cultured pearls should only be cleaned with a soft-bristled brush or cloth.

Gold and silver are soft metals that wear away with use. This applies to all gold and silver jewelry. We recommend that you have your jewelry inspected by a goldsmith at least once a year, depending on the level of use. Buttons, mountings and welding positions are particularly important to inspect.

Clean jewelry

If you want to clean your Christina jewelry, add a small amount of mild soap to warm water and clean with a soft-bristled toothbrush. A toothbrush is great for cleaning patterned jewelry. If the jewelry is too dirty, soak it in warm water for about 10 minutes. Please note that this advice does not apply to leather, wooden charms or pearl jewelry.

A silver polishing cloth is the best cleaning tool to restore the shine to your 925 silver jewelry, but the polishing cloth cannot remove scratches.

Save your jewelry

Jewelry should be stored away from sunlight and high temperatures, in a protective lined jewelry box or bag, or in a vacuum bag. Rubber containers are not suitable as this will cause the 925 silver to tarnish faster and may also cause the silver jewelry to blacken. Do not store jewelry in humid environments such as bathrooms.

Please note that our Christina gift box is designed to be a sealed environment, so the jewelry can reduce discoloration due to contact with air. Therefore, when storing your collection for a long time, please try to protect the film of the gift box and avoid sharp objects. damage.

Bracelet

Silver bracelets will lengthen to a certain extent over time. When shopping for a bracelet, it should be tight, so make sure there is one or two fingers of space between the bracelet and your wrist. This will ensure there is enough room for you to thread the entire bracelet with the charm.

Silver in oxidized

Oxidized silver is an effect of surface treatment and will fade over time, depending on how well the jewelry is cared for. Factors that may cause the oxidation effect to fade include: sweat, chlorine, perfume, detergents, liquid polish, etc. The loss of oxidation effects is normal wear and tear and is not a blemish. We do not recommend you use liquid polish. For jewelry that has been oxidized, soaking it in liquid polish will have no effect and will destroy the oxidation effect.

Freshwater cultured pearls

Freshwater cultured pearls can be damaged by liquid polishes; also avoid exposing freshwater cultured pearls to makeup, creams, chemicals or detergents.

Enamel

All enamels are glass-free, making the product more durable.

Leather

Leather is a natural product and requires careful care. Do not expose leather to water or other liquids that can cause discoloration. Leather will stretch and loosen over time and is not a defect in the product. You may notice a slight deepening or change in the color of the leather in areas, as this is a natural characteristic of genuine leather. Leather color changes may also be due to contact with skin oils or the result of adding charms to bracelets and necklaces.

We recommend adding a maximum of 7-9 charms to the leather cord. When adding charms, please secure the leather cord carefully and slowly screw the charm into the leather cord. Please note that if you twist the cord when adding charms, you may damage the structure of the cord.
